Organized a awareness camp in Ch. Mani Ram Godara, Government Women’s College Bhodia Khera, Fatehabad and told the students how to avoid Cyber Crime Against Women, how to alert and aware of cyber crime can be avoided.
As part of the special campaign being run by the Fatehabad Police Department to make people aware of the prevention of cybercrime, an awareness camp (Cyber Crime Against Women) was organized at CMG Government Women’s College, Bhodia khera. DSP Geetika Jakhar participated as the chief guest in the camp and explained in detail the precautions to be taken to protect the girl students from cyber crimes. College Principal Dr. Hawa Singh, while welcoming the DSP and other police officers, called such events very beneficial for the youth, Fatehabad.

The DSP said that cyber criminals keep adopting different methods with the intention of committing fraud. Different types of temptations are given by cyber criminals to get money by luring a person. In such a situation, we can avoid this type of fraud only by being aware. He told that to get information from someone, various tactics are adopted by the vicious thugs. Cyber criminals obtain confidential information related to banking transactions like ATM number, UPI PIN, password etc. from the victim through various means.
By obtaining this confidential information, money is illegally withdrawn from the victim’s account by cyber thugs. The DSP said that to avoid cybercrime or any kind of online fraud, it is necessary that every user should be alert about fake apps/links while using the internet and never share confidential banking information with anyone. The DSP, while interacting with the girl students, informed them about the efforts being made by the district police to prevent crime against women, Dial 112, Women Help Line 1091 and Durga Shakti App.
Cyber Volunteer Devendra Kumar said that nowadays all kinds of work are being done online. From education to financial transactions, everything has gone online. In such a situation, many things should be kept in mind while doing online transactions. ASI Satish Kumar told about various measures to avoid being a victim of cyber crime. In-charge of the Women’s Cell Prof. Manju Bala thanked DSP Geetika Jakhar for benefiting the girl students of the college with her thoughts. On this occasion, along with the students, Dr. Vijay, Dr. Jyothi, Dr. Ajit, Prof. Saroj, Prof. Raman, Dr. Ramesh, Prof. Gagandeep, Prof. Sarika, Prof. Pinky, Prof. Kapil and others were present.
